"Mounthing system for Slanted bitumen roofs
Slanted bitumen roofs can be found on houses, sheds, utility and industrial buildings. Bitumen roofs are divided into non-insulated and insulated roofs. Solar panels can be placed on both types of bitumen roofs with the ClickFit system. In addition to bitumen, similar roofs are also executed with shingles or an EPDM, PVC or TPO roofing membrane. The assembly of the solar panels is substantially equal to that of the bitumen roof.
Non-insulated bitumen roofs
The mounting rails are attached to the roof by means of mounting brackets on an on-insulated bitumen roof. The mounting brackets are screwed directly onto the shingles by using stainless steel screws. A filling sealant gets applied between the mounting bracket and the roof covering in order to create a waterproof closure.
Isolated bitumen roofs
When the insulation is on the inside of the building, one speaks of a “cold roof”. When the insulation is on the upper side of the roof, one speaks of a “warm roof”.
Cold roof, roof placement
The mounting rails are attached to the roof by means of mounting brackets in a “cold roof”. These are screwed directly onto the shingles. A filling sealant gets applied between the mounting bracket and the roof covering in order to create a waterproof closure.
Warm roof, roof placement
It is recommended to secure the mounting rails onto the roof by using hanger screws in a “warm roof”. These are screwed into the existing purlins/bottom construction. In this way, the weight of the solar panel is not transferred to the (weak) isolation, but directly onto the roof structure. The EPDM rubber on the hanger screw and the washer plate, which gets glued to the roof covering with a filling sealant, ensure a waterproof closure.
Assembly of the solar panels
The solar panels are hung onto the mounting rail by using the installation aid, so that the solar panels can be easily slid into the right place. The solar panels are subsequently screwed onto the mounting rail by using mounting screws and universal clamps. There is already a special screw thread in the mounting rail that simplifies the screwing in of the solar panels."

The ClickFit assembly system is suitable for all brands and types of solar panels. The system is made of durable and high quality aluminium and stainless steel components.
There are special black clamps and caps for black solar panels that are placed over the assembly profile and the mounting screws. This gives the solar panels and the assembly system a complete black finish.
There is only a 10 mm socket wrench needed for the assembly of the solar panels."
